Hey Guys,
Currently trying to sell the castle and take the kids and the boss on a twelve month trip around our island.
Just after any info on the Dayo in regards to towing and the like.
She is a great truck and never let us down, not to mention great on fuel, but i also have never expected her to drag the the family and caravan / camper trailer around for twelve months.
The old girl (not the wife) has 231,000 on the dial and and a small oil leak around the transfer case wich will be fixed in the pre-trip service.

Firstly what is a Dayo and secondly how heavy is the van you are towing.
If its an auto it will probably be limited to 2.5tonne ATM which restricts you a bit in size of van if you have a family.
Also when loading the tow vehicle you have to take the towball weight as part of the load which cuts down the weight you may put in it.
With 4 in it the towball weight and fuel there wont be much left to stay legal.
Im in the middle of working out loads for a croozer along the same lines and maybe the wife might have to stay home.
Woops we just sold it so may have to buy her a tent LOL
Cheers

Graham,
To the best of my knowledge a Dayo is the call of Harry Belafonte.
(Dayo, dayo, Daylight come an' I want to go home) from the "Banana Boat Song".
Slightly more seriously, I suspect that a "Dayo" is the pet name for Just Goin's Rodeo
Disco.

I have a 1996 2.8TD and two a camper trailer, best single thing you can do for power is fit a 2.5" exhaust, this will allow the turbo to spool up better and will also squeeze a couple extra pound of boost out of the turbo, also you will need to adjust your fuel settings after fitting the exhaust see
