I am looking at the Oxley wild rivers area for a weeks R&R and want to cross the rages in the Willi Willi NP area.

Question: anyone know of a track that goes from say Bellbrook (on the Armidale-Kempsey Rd) through the park and links up with Hastings Valley way & Oxley Hway.

I will be towing my Camper.

Spokes trail springs to mind but I think it is now closed by NPWS as is Youdales area. You need a key from NPWS to use those tracks & they forbid camper trailers anyway.

Also any good camp sites you may think of, yeah I know i'm asking too much, but what the heck, nothing ventured nothing gained.

Thanks in advance, Colin.

Hi Colin

This is a realy nice area, you will have no problem with your trailer as any tracks that are still open are easy to drive. The only way across is by Carrai Rd then Coachwood Rd. The best camping area around is Mooraback with either an early or late walk along the river to see the Platypus. Good place to spend a few nights with a day trip over to Wilson river and Beech Plateau. A good way south is via Apsley Falls and down Thunderbolt Way.
To the north you have Styx River state forest, with lots of camping along the river and a nice drive up to Long Point lookout.

Have fun

Hey Colin,
I found one of the best campsites ever around that way at easter.
You will not want to move for a whole week and of course your machine with the camper will make it........ The Nav made it and u know it is handicaped!!!......... (by the driver lol).
I will need to have a good think about it and I do have it in my mio but do not know how to retrieve it. Any ideas?
Peter

G'day peter
I'm not familiar with the mio, can you download into oziexplore? then the file can be posted to "plot swap" on here????

I'm no expert in these matters Peter.
Cheers Colin.

Hey Colin,
I do not have Oziexplore as yet and I have tried to back the files up to an SD card but that dosen't work. It is on my to do list. If I see a map of the area I would be able to give you directions.
The track goes from the Kempsey to Armidale road and comes out on the Armidale to Coffs harbour Road. I might go into Anaconda on the weekend and have a look for you. They have a great supply of maps
