Hi all, back again, still in the proccess of buying a new dual cab ute has anyone had experience with the amount of leg room in the back
seat of a hilux, navara or rodeo/colarado. Need to fit 3 boys in the back wich one has the best space.

For space & off road ability it is hard to go past a Landrover Defender 130 dual cab
Haveyou considered one of these

Gidday Brenton
Only had experience with the hilux (not
mine) as far as riding in the back
I'm 190cm, and had no dramas in the back of that.
Have test driven the others, the Nav seems on par with the hilux, if not bigger, however, check out post 63268. would you want one? Colorado/rodeo has less than these two, but may still be OK.
Best thing to do is take the 3 boys with you to the yards, and test em all.
One you didn't mention is the Triton. This has the best rear room IMO, but the worst front seats in terms of comfort (Yep - even worse than my 14yr Triton!)
cheers
Mark

Thanks Mark, i have a 03 rodeo and i thought the hilux may have had less room in the back thn rodeo? ready for a change, cant stop the inside front
wheels from scrubbing on rodeo seems to be a problem with torsion bars.

Hi Brenton,
I have the Navara D40. It has realy good space in the rear and very comf'y in front to.
The Navara has a few problems though. Check out www.complaintscorner.com.au before you buy. Then make a decision on which car you will go for.
I have not had many problems and there are allot out there.
Good luck

Brenton,
Have a look at thread 63268.
I rest my case.
I would recommend a Nissan D40 only if you are a lawyer.

Hi Brenton, we took our girls for a ride in various dual cabs. They voted the Rodeo the best. Not just for leg room but for ride comfort also. They didn't like the Hilux because the ride was too stiff/hard. We didn't try the Mazda though.doc.
