They make the sides of
the tub deep/high to provide enough strength/rigidity to make up for the lack of a chassis.
It's sort of a Honda version of a Holden Crewman.
Probably got the same AWD system as a CRV.

The yanks were pretty scathing of the earlier models.
The floor is weak and its not really a dedicated ute/pickup like the other Japanese models.
Its aimed at owners of dude ranches:D
