Hello,
I have been trying to find a set of 4 or 8 of the Michelin XZL 255/100R16 for my Ford F-250. I was wondering if anybody would be willing to set me up with a Michelin shop to purchase and ship those tyres. Thanks in advance, Timmy

They can be ordered through your local Michelin dealer but cost big $$$ for what they are - but then there is not much else available in that size - my Landrover FC 101 has the same size and getting tyres for it at reasonable $$ are a problem - just about every tyre place I go to offers the Michelins but they are a bit expensive at around or over $500 a tyre.

Hi Timmy.
255/100R16 is the replacement for the old 9.00 x 16. I have some second hand (but useful) ones of each if you are interested.

Maybe 8 with useful tread. Most are on split rims (ex OKA) and are 8 stud x 6 1/2 inch PCD (same as Ford 8 stud, but slightly bigger stud diam), zero offset (I think) which was the same as our old F350 4x4. They would be available too, if you are interested.
They won't be expensive, but are in Adelaide.

Give me a call on 048804221 if you are interested.

Cheers,
Peter

Just went and had a count....

2 @ 9.00R16 XZL with 10mm tread.
2 @ 255/100R16 XZL with 5mm tread
1 @ 255/100R16 XZL with minimal tread .......... on rim.
1 @ 255/100R16 XZL with 8mm tead .............. on rim.
4 @ 9.00R16 XZL with 5 to 7 mm tread ........... on rims.
1 @ 9.00R16 XZL with minimal tread ................... on rim.
1 @ Rim, no tyre fitted.
Assorted tubes and liners.

2 @ 9.00R16 XZL as new retreads ..... on rims (want to keep these, or swap for the top 2 tyres, for my trailer.

Also have 4 @ LT255/75R16 Firestone (better than 50%) on standard F250 8 stud steel rims.

If you don't care how much money you spend, check out the Michelin 325/85R16 XML (327 wide x 984 diameter) as used on the Army 8x8s. Seriously good off road tyre (at a bit over $1000 each). Readily available from Michelin.

Cheers,
Peter

Hey Peter
Thanks for the options,
How about the 4 x 900R16, without the rims, Then the kicker, the shipping to USA(LA or San Francisco) , Ocean freight is fine, no time crunch, DHL Ocean had some good rates last time I checked. By the way how old are the tyres?
Thanks, Timmy

Timmy,
You can have your pick at AUD$120 each tyre only, or AUD$200 each, if on rims, or AUD$1200 the lot (except the 2 retreads and their rims) plus freight.
Can't be sure of their age, can't find a date code. About half came off my vehicle when I bought it in 2003 (it was a tour bus), the others came off another vehicle after that.
They were made in France.
Tyres weigh about 40kg each, rims are about 28kg each.
Lets know what you might want & I get a freight price for you.

Cheers,
Peter
