Anyone with experience in either the tent or fibreglass pop up.
Im thinking about one for the landcruiser.
They are not cheap, the f/g pop up is over $3k but is supposed to be quality.
Or maybe Im better off with one of the other SAf made tents on ebay for a fraction of the price

Ross,
I have one of the tents and the jumbo fly. It folds out over the rear doors and provides dry access in the rain and shade in the sun. I just recently travelled over 7000kms in Central Australia on remote tracks and the tent was great in the wind, cold down south and sun when we were above Alice. I can recommend the tent, even the missus likes it. Follow up support from the importer is second to none.
Cheers
Steve

This is one of the Italian made RTT,Maggioleno?
I have considered them but they are nearly $2000 more than the Hannibal range.

Ross, I've got a 3Dog Camper (from Byron Bay) on my Nissan Truck, they made me a king size bed unit. It's fantastic and provides great shelter over the galley on the side. It take about 1.5 minutes to take off the cover and about 30 seconds to put up the tent. For a more compact unit have a look at the
Dingo Doza. All Australian made and tough quality. Regards John
