Gudday.
I bought a roof rack here in
Mildura for my new car which is in
Perth. I was planning on taking it over on my trailer but my tow bar has since bitten the bullet and requires expensive repairs. I am planning on taking it on the roof bars of the honda but it's a bit oversized so I was wondering:
Is anyone travelling East to West across the Nullarbor and able to take my roof rack? Perhaps loaded on your roof rack or trailer? I can put in some $$$.
Thanks
Peter

I'm curious as to how a tow bar can "bite the bullet", what happened?

WELL!
The Honda has been a great vehicle for my Mum, and for me while I've been at uni. It's towed a camper trailer into Purnululu and down the GRR (two different trips) and has just about circumnavigated the country without missing a beat. Truly, a very
well made vehicle.
BUT! It wasn't really designed for this kind of towing. I hooked up the trailer to go and pick up this roof rack and noticed a bit of movement in the bar. When I pulled the plastic rear cover off I saw that the bolts that go through part of the monocoque chassis have torn there way loose, leaving pretty much ripped steal. Not pretty, but not a structurally debilitating. As it's not just rolled steel it's pretty tricky to fix with any kind of decent strength, so I'll just take the bar off and not tow anything again...
Hence this problem I have...
Any takers? Come on, it'll be fun!

Hey Poida,
Have you tried maybe
Pack&Send
I've sent stuff (cargo barrier, roof bars etc...) through them from WA over to NSW a while ago and from memory they were reasonably cheap.
Regards,
Darren
