Can any of you learned members shed some light on the caravan parks in Mission Beach please? We've been invited up there for a wedding next July and are looking for somewhere to stay.

Which leads to the more pressing question. How do I convince my dear wife that simply must go to the new V8 race in Townsville the following weekend?????

Why not lash out and have a few days at Dunk Island? the boat goes across to 'town' every day anyway....Its absolutely blissfull there!!....Mission Beach is exactly opposite Dunk....

Don't forget you have Mission Beach & South Mission Beach.
Mission Beach is were all the Backpackers live and South Mission Beach is were the families stay (because it's quite & great for the kiddies) the place to stay there is Beachcomber Coconut Village
Kennedy Esp South Mission Beach Mission Beach QLD 4852
Telephone: (07) 4068 8129 It's not the cheapest but it has great facilities fantastic pool or the kids and you can see Dunk Island from the beach and even hie a tinnie out for 1/2 a day for about $80.00.

Now for your second question Michael - Would a nice expensive new outfit for her to wear to wedding help you get to the V8 races?

Last month we stopped for a night at Dunk Island view caravan park, a great spot just across the road from the beach. Quiet and clean and a lot cheaper than the main ones in town.

The Big4 at Sth Mission Beach is where we choose to stay. Right on the beach and very good facilities.
