Kev, that is a great action shot under Al's car and it is with good reason why Lyn got out with his wheel stand which I saw on your camera screen. So much easier in larger pics.

Reads well mate and so pleased you were able to do the trip justice. Hope Sam enjoys the trip just reading it instead of having to sit there for days. LMAO

Yeah we can do that. I still need to do some exploring.

Does anyone in the bundy to gladstone area have any good camping spots and also some decent tracks other than sand that could be included?

It was well worth the effort to attend, as are all Gatherings organised through ExplorOz

Great Report Kev

I didn't realise Al was trying that hard to raise the wheels , I know we took wrong line on that section and even with diff locks the wheels just spun against the rock ledge at first , then John and Willem came up making it look easy.

With fuel cost going for a dive , hope we see you back next year and with maybe a locker.

Robin,

The money saving for fuel is already underway.

I think Lyn will frame that photo as proof as to why she bailed out a little further up the track.

I have some action shots of you as well if you would like some.

Cheers Kev

Hi Kev

Yep , would like some action shots , I see you have posted a couple. My usual approach is to drive up slow to something and then take a different line if hard , so rarely get the car moving like Al has.

Kev, I balied when it felt like we were going to tip over - like rats out of a sinking ship the kids and I were out of there!

Then as Al gunned it up the hill and made it safely, Tegan said "damn we should have stayed in he made it, and now we have to walk up the hill!"...lol...

hahaha I like Tegans thinking.

Before I drove up that section where you bailed out, I got Pete to climb up it to take some pics of Darkie. He wasn't sure if he had taken any as he was puffing pretty badly ;)

Great read Kev, thanks for that.

Was the plumbers crack photo really necessary though?

Good work.
