Hi all
Can anybody tell me if the constant 4wd 80 series transfer case changed from the 4.0 litre petrol to the turbo diesel models?
Reason I'm asking is that mine is a 96 model turbo diesel auto and I can get one out of a 4.0litre petrol. I was going to buy the petrol one, give it a once over and just do a swap.
Thanks
Scott

Scott,
As far as I know they are the same. The only difference may be the wiring harness for the diff lock actuator but I'm not 100% on that.

hey scott as far as i know after looking into all of this after converting my 80 series from petrol to turbo diesel, studying diffs and g/boxs and so on they are not the same as the outer cover will bolt up but not to the box so depending on whats broken on yours you might be able to swap some parts out of it.
