For the past 3 years I've had a 50 ltr Downunder fridge which I bought fairly cheap from Repco for around $800-odd. After I'd had it for 12 or 18 months I broke the plastic frame near power plugs but never did anything about it - just kept using it with the bare electrical bits
well taped over. And it just kept working and giving great service.
This year I thought I really should get it fixed so I dug out the original instructions that came with it to see if l could find a service agent. There was a Qld phone number which I rang and they told me it was probably still in warranty and to take it back to Repco and get them to send it back to them.
After I picked myself up off the floor, I took it straight to Repco in Kalgoorlie a month or so ago and yesterday went back to pick it up after it had been repaired.
What I found was not my very
well traveled, battered & used 3yo fridge, but a brand newy, and with a cover to boot.
So what was a pretty good story, just got real good in my mind. Downunder fridges - there's a lot to commend them for.
