There has been a few posts on Radio reception and a good antenna for the job. A while back someone posted a link in reply to www.mobileone.com.au. As I had been trying for a while to get a good antenna and gone through 3 others without much change, I thought I would give their M2W 1550MM Broadcast Band Antenna a go. Also brought the mounting kit with the correct coaxil.
Results are great, I pick up FM stations I never could get before and the dead transmission spots I used to get are no longer. So I can recommend this product to anyone having the same issues. PS - Just a review, I have no connection with the business -Cheers Tony

Try http://www.mobileone.com.au/antennas/default.htm and then click on AM/FM Broadcast Band on left menu.

Tony
Where did you mount it on the vehicle? I need one on the bull bar because my slide on camper blocks signal to the one mounted near the top ofwindsreen on the drivers side in the Rodeo.

Linda. The same was happening with my antenna and camper. I put it on the bull bar at this time. It would be better on a guard but the Rodeo does not make that easy to do. I may change that to behind the cab, on the front of the tray bars and add a spring mount. It is aways better to have a ground plane surrounding your antenna mount. The onlly problem with this is when you are driving through the scrub. Cheers Tony
