My wife, Judith, attended a meeting as a delegate to the Central Local Government Region of South Australia today.

A presentation for Coastal Motor Vehicle Access Management Strategy was dleivered by an employee of Rural Solutions SA Northern and Yorke NRM Region.

The presentation, by all accounts, was very brief, and in question time Judith asked the presenter if any 4 Wheel Drive Clubs in the areas mentioned, had been contacted. The presenter replied in the negative but thought it was an excellent idea. The Strategy will look at all aspects of beach access for vehicles in the designated areas.

Maybe some 4x4 Clubs would like to follow this one up.

Cheers

I would suggest that the presentation was brief and the SAAFWDC (also called 4wdSA) are not involved because coastal vehicle access is outside the expertise of "Rural Solutions SA". One look at their website would suggest this.

Yes have to agree. The fact that the presenter had not considered 4x4 clubs before giving a presentation may show how well prepared the talk was. But legislation is usually made by ill informed people. Cheers Tony

Yes, and as a matter of some urgency, by the looks of the responses.
Well done Willem and Judy.
