im in a few travelling forums and i read in one of them about a towball breaking and the caravan heading west.
How do i tell if i have the heavy duty towball please.its 50mm and unmarked [labelled] as far as i can see.
For a few dollars more id rather be sure than sorry.
I have a pajero and a 2100Kg van [total weight]
cheers.. Rod

If in doubt why not just buy a heavy duty one anyway.

I certainly would not use a tow ball if it didn't have the weight number on it. It could be a shonky one. It is a wise move to change your tow ball every 12months if you are doing a lot of towing and at least every two years. To add 3.5 tonne is the same as 3500 kg.
