Was a pleasant 4hr walk. Some new stuff, lot of the old. The Extreme 4WD demo was good yesterday by all accounts, I couldn't be bothered. The
Perth 4x4 site has some of the photos of the carnage.
Crowds yesterday weren't too bad so you could actually talk to the staff.

What about the caravans? Is it worth going to see them and the other exhibits or should I wait till the caravan show comes to town?

Pretty much more of the same. Some retailers wouldn't budge off RRP while others were giving good show discounts. I found the 4X4 retailers were holding RRP while the generic Repco/Anaconda/Rays etc... had some real bargains but YMMV.
The actual displays of vans / trailers / vehicles seemed the same, perhaps a bit less "high profile" given the current financial situation and the potential of less cashed up buyers.
Cheers
Captain

I went Friday a/noon and got a
parking space straight away, and it was very quiet compared to last year! I bought a few
camping bits and was pleasantly surprised at my bargaining ability!(or maybe they are feeling the pinch)
Usual stuff really, Engels and gennys were selling
well as saw lots being trollyed out to cars.
All in all it was good to wander round without the huge crowds as per normal.

Dave

Enjoyed my afternoon there!
Argued Engel Versus Waeco with the fridge guys and kicked the landrover salesman in the shins (as one does) for the oil leaks on landrovers. (90% of landrovers built are still on the road today - the rest diddn;t break down and actually made it home! LOL
Seriosuly it wasn't a bad day out - musta walked 5 hours anc hecked out LOTS of offroad campers etc.
Had a good look at twin wheel carriers from various makers.
Thought it was a worthwhile day out!
Seemed to be a lotta rednecks there - so me bein one, I fitted right in with the crowd!
Didn't think much of the Bikini fashion parade! (Yeah coz there wasn't one)! ;o(
Cheers!

Wandering around getting prices on various things.
Got quoted $329 for a 80lt Engel fridge slide said OK be back
later, Went back and got it for $299.
Could have walked out with a Coronal pop top off roader for 22k plus my Goldstream camper.
Then went to the travel expo and spent my cash on a trip
London.
But apart from that I feel it was much the same as last year
with food and admission charges going up maybe that's why
crowds are down.
