Price was $117.9 for unleaded this morning. But get this - $145.9 for Diesel. 28c a ltr difference - What a joke! (Bad Joke)
Sorry I will never be able to understand why Diesel has now gone beyond petrol. We used to have/run Service Stations and diesel was always cheaper than Super & Unleaded, in fact quite a bit cheaper, even as we turned over the last century. Then for some strange reason in the last 6 or so years it has surpassed fuel by miles and stayed there. So if there is a lot of lame excuses why, in the long run we are basicly getting ripped off, shear profit making I would say. What do you think? Cheers Tony

That's one of the reasons I no longer own a diesel vehicle. The lower fuel price, longer service intervals (and cheaper) and the gap in fuel consumption is closing. Not to mention petrols are just as reliable. Then there's the LPG option.

Yes. Now with all the fuel injection and electronics they are most likely just as good in the water and wet conditions now. Diesel is on the wat out unless they can get real with the price. Cheers tony

The electrics are pretty well water resistant, well in the Toyotas anyway. The 105 in my rig pic and my previous couple of 80's have been thru water 4 -6 inches up the windscreen with only a snorkel, no blind and never had one so much as missfire.

Tony B , Diesel on the way out ??? like to explain then how every single car manufacturer now offers diesel engines , why more and more servos are putting in diesel pumps on the forecourt rather than out the back ,, the one given is that diesel will still be around at a "price" long after petrol is deamed as too expensive to refine .

Qld the lucy country. We get a subsidy of 8c a Ltr. Still its miles too much. Your away from the main centers a bit, same here once you get away from the city - much more and they blame it on transport. Cheers Tony.

Tony B,

Yep, its actually 36c per litre at all of the servo's in town except one where the difference is only 32c per litre (none of these prices are discounted with a shopper docket, they are before any of those are applied)

Have a look at NSW fuel prices on Exploroz and scroll down till you see Port Macquarie.

Cheers,

Cruiser .
