do you mean your nonna

grammer is what i typed first time round but it came up underlined in red dots so i thought it was wrong...changed letter to "a" (which i thought was wrong) but it accepted it with out underlining it?...so much for Davids spell checker...or is Mozilla that does this?

either way, some one is wrong

I suspect that it is using win CE core as the OS as many of the cheaper ones do.
You will need to install Oziexplorer on the SD card in the same folder as the existing Nav program. Place the maps that you want to use in the 'map' folder in Ozi.
Then change the nav program that it is looking for in the main menu from Navteq (or whatever the existing turn by turn program is called) to Oziexplorer.
How big is the supplied SD card? I'd suggest getting a 4GB (usually the biggest these devices will handle) as then you will have plenty of room for maps.

Isn't Navteq only the map provider?
It will be running navigation software such as Route 66.

The software for this model could be 2 years old but it doesn't mean it's the latest navtech software that everyone uses. Some companies are selling there latest software with 2008 maps in which were put in last year.
