If you have put magnets around the tailshaft, reduce by one or two magnets. Ie if you have fitted 4 reduce to 2
Cruise controls just count pulses.
If it reads from the speedo pulse there should be a software fix which sets the range when installed.
They all work within a set range of pulse frequencies.

Have a look at thread 10861.

I have an AP200 but remember reading how to set anAP50 a long time ago.
I suggest that you call Command at Silverwater. The technical guy is very helpful.

I sent the tek 2 emails to ask a question and they couldnt be bothered answering !!!
The control box has a wire sticking out in a loop on mine, and that is to be cut if you wish to rise to 5000 pulses from the standard 2000.
I have never cut it, as mine will lock on from 38 kph up to 118 kph.
Mine has one magnet fitted to the tailshaft.

Cheers Pesty

Any time Roachie, any time you want to see it pull 118 i will show you. Your speedo is that far out you wouldnt know what i was doing.
At least i keep mine all toyota, not having to change to chev and toyota parts to keep it going !!! LOL

Not sure if the AP50 is similar to the AP60.... but I have the latter. It had a black loop wire coming out of the box and I had to cut that with a pair of side cutters to get it to register correctly.

I also only have one magnet on my tailshaft.

Thanks guys

just showed the installation manual to a few mechanically minded work mates and they both came to the same conclusion ie cut the wire.

Thanks again to all that replied..hope it works cause i'm driving to Canberra next weekend.

Got one of them on my ute, got 2 magnets and found that i had to cut the loop to get it to stay on speed and not drop off or fluctuate.
If it doesn't go over 95km/h maybe you need to look at how much slack there is in the cable and if it can pull the accelarator cable in far enough.
