I was going to replace my Torsion bars with some after market one's,but is it worth it and do you notice any difference in handling.cheer's GREENDOG

I was told unless you have all the gear eg..winch, steel bar and duel batteries. You are wasting your money, this was from a
shop that sells them. After winding
mine up a bit, i would not want firmer anyway, and after market ones would be firmer.

Stefan thanks for your in put,but if i'm not mistaken after market one's make your
suspension firmer,why wouldn't you want it to be firm sorry if i sound abit dor but i'm not machanically mined.cheer's GREENDOG

the standard ones are really good, if your ride has gone really soft its more like the shocks are not what they used to be. Too firm in the torsion bars and you lose some of the already limited travel the front
wheels have. I made this mistake on my old Patrol, went to firm in the front springs and instead of flexing the front
suspension just stayed put and I had
wheels in the air all the time. More
wheels on the ground the better :)

forgot to add,
mine drove like a container ship when I got it, it wallowed and swayed and made ya sea sick. Replaced the rear coils and shocks all round with Tough Dog gear and wound up the torsion bars a little and its all good :)
