Hi Everyone,

We are heading down to Berrima to get a turbo in the next couple of weeks and was wondering if there is any good places to camp. We are wanting to free camp but the father in-law is now coming and he wants a cabin....which I am going to try and talk him out of if we find a nice place to camp. It is only for two days and he has a great tent.

Any sugestions on things to see and do and places to stay would be great.

Cheers

I would actually prefer to get another quote on the turbo installation and then make further deliberations.

Hi Sue & Clint

Berrima is a lovely little town, with lots of B&Bs, but no caravan parks. According to this site

Berrima Info

there is no camp ground. I had some work done at the Diesel place there a few years back and seem to remember that there was a basic camp ground, but certainly no cabins etc. (We just looked, did not stay there as it was a one day job).

One option, but further up market than you were looking for, is to stay at the B&B at the Diesel place.

As for what to do - its the Southern Highlands, so you can shop, shop, shop, eat, eat, eat etc. The Prison has a craft shop even.

Plenty of quiet streets to walk and without a car that's really it. Maybe take some books!

I believe that the Berrima reserve is again open for short term stays. A friend has advised that the reserve has been upgraded and there are bollards that reduce the available area for camping.

Why another quote??
The guys at Berrima really know their stuff and I couldnt reccommend them highly enough. If I was having a turbo fitted wouldnt go anywhere else---no connection with the business whatever but have had work(service) done by them in the past. Excellent service.

Sorry Sprint, I can't concurr with your happy ending.
My experience was with a 1985 2h/aftermarket turbo tune up that went very very wrong.
This is not the place to air dirty linen, so should leave it at that.
A search for "turboboy"or "tunit" on other forums from some time ago will give you clues.
I also have no connection with their business, nor will I have any in the future.

Can't help with camping spot close but if time allows see if you can visit the ghost town of Joadja use to be a very interesting day visit. Have not been there for at least 18 years.

Hi all,
I was in Berrima 3 weeks ago. Letting you know that unfortunately there was a definate no camping sign erected and they have put up those little wooden posts to block off access to camp spots.
