Hi,

Just bought a black widow awning. There is no instructions on how to attach to roof rack. I have an ARB deluxe rack.
It comes with two bits of ~10cm angle aluminium and 4 screws. Couldn't figure out how to use these to attach awning bag to rack.

Does anyone have one and can help with installation.
Cheers,
Paul.

Hi Paul
I just got one too from last weeks 4wd show in Perth. Picked it up yesterday and like you no instuctions. For the price you would think you could get a scrap of paper with instructions on and a few more bolts.
I only recieved like you 4 small locking nuts (4mm) and to small bits of angle. For a 2.5mt awning I would attach it with a few more than this.
Cheers Brian

ARB have just developed awning mounting brackets to fit their roof racks, some stores may have them by now.

Paul

The 10cm angle aluminium and 4 screws are for mounting it to a Rhino rack or alike to mount it to an ARB rack like mine just drill holes through the Awning c channel an aline them with the large cup brackets (between the top and bottem rails) of the rack and bolt it to it

check out gunyah they make them for Black widow
Fitting

They are the ones that I bought, very fast delivery from that seller. I also believe that ARB have them now too.

Hey Shaker,

Good to see that you bought these ones are they are brackets that my mate & I came up with to solve his problem and decided to produce a few extra and see how they went on Ebay.....sold pretty quickly to.....so we might keep making them if there is enough interest although at $50 per pair they sold below cost as they were powdercoated....maybe we should produce them as gal only and let users paint them.

Regards

Stuart

Yes, that's the ones that I bought.
I think you should keep them powdercoated but increase your reserve price, I think the ARB ones are aound $125.00.

If you're passing by Dandenong pop in and I'll see if I can help you with a few ideas. No charge, I like meeting up with EO members.

Just give me a call first, 03 9706 6527.

Jim.

Thanks all for your replies. The instructions on the Gunyah site make it a little clearer. Not sure why Black Widow don't include these in their packaging.
As I don't want to drill through my ARB rack I might go for a different installation option so I might give you a call a drop round sometime Jim, thanks for the offer.
