Fenton Drums...Final & Official Result

The issue of the drums at Fenton Base Camp has been flashing all over Australia and around the world, not only from me but another EO Member, Thanks Crazy Dog , there has been many wayout and wild guesses but thanks for trying the ones who were wrong, Even I was very sceptic as to the drums being Latrines, I think Barbara Gotham of the 380th Bomb Group
Association at Indiana, USA has been corresponding around the world too, I recieved this email from Barbara this morning that puts the subject to rest. It's a copy of an email she recieved from Bob Alford

Survey and Design Unit based at Katherine. They would probably have been installed as part of the works undertaken by the Australians prior to the RAAF occupying Fenton following the move to Darwin by the 380th Bomb Group.
