hi all
we are heading to
kangaroo island for two weeks over christmas and are wishing to try again to get to
murray river mouth either on way over, or on our way home.
last time we tried this drive ( 3 years ago) there where signs up saying that
the beach was closed l think within a couple of km of the mouth.
does any one know if this beach run is currently open and what the conditions are like l heard that sand was quite loose and deep near mouth due to dredging.
regards andy.

cheers unko
we are travelling in an 80'sr cruiser so shouldn't be a problem (lower tyre pressures).
ill have to remember the surf gear, we saw lots of photos in shops around town 3 years ago mostly mullaway but looked promising.
we actually saw what looked to be a small bronze whaler ( 1.5m approx) washed on
the beach last time we were there but was washed back into surf before l could get to close.
