Hi, I live in
Darwin and am looking for some sort of laptop tray, bench, table etc that I can fit into the front of the cab of the vechicle . Any ideas?

Here, make one for about $10. Used scrap MDF. Stick some velcro to the laptop and the desk. I tekscrewed it to the dash...yeah, rough...I know...but it worked.

Ram Mounts are very good. One of the australian agents is Johnny appleseed. www.ja-gps.com.au
They are also the Garmin agent. They are very helpfull

If it helps I have the top tray off a Pod III mount as shown on the above link Scroll down it shows one mounted in the car.
The part I have is just the tray on the top with the clamps to hold the laptop.
One side is spring loaded to allow it to fit any size up to about 15in
The cost of the whole Pod III is about $350.
The tray was $115 will sell it for $40 plus postage as I dont use the laptop on it any more.
It has several bolt holes to allow various mounting alternatives.
