Hi all,

Most of you know we have sold up and our working our way around Oz with the two kids in tow. We had a great time in Bundaberg we are now into our fourth week and haven't killed each other!!!! after Bundaberg we made our way up to Agnes Waters/1770 very pretty place. We then headed to Calliope River (free camp area) lovely place we arrived on Thursday it was all good then Friday afternoon all the local hoons arrived - so I would only stay during the week at Calliope we noticed the fridge wasn't working to well on gas so we made for the caravan park at Tannum sands - really nice park but the fridge didn't seem to work to well on electricity either, it was a Saturday so we had to sit tight till Monday to find out what to do as the van is only a month old................ Monday I was told by Dometic that we would have to travel all the way back to Bundaberg to get it fixed - not happy Jan...... so we make it back to Bundy to find out its the cooler unit - in the mean time whilst waiting almost 2 days for the part to arrive we discover the gas regulator has died and the reason being there is oil/sludge through the lines - so we replace 2 x gas bottles, 1 x regulator and fix the fridge.

We then leave Bundy and head for Ban Ban Springs for the night - another nice place although there is very little water left. We are now at Cania Gorge its just lovely, we head to Biloela tomorrow and hopefully get some nice Beef!!!

Thanks for listening I am sure my next post will be happier.

Regards
Matt Caz & kids

The Lava Tubes and camp ground are great, as for the people running the show, I would rather give my money to a thief.

Cheers Steve

Hi Nic,

It WILL happen - just keep thinking about the trip and prepare for it!!!!! this is all good fun. It took our house 3 months to sell and then they wanted a 60 day settlement seemed to take forever but we got there eventually and so will you - the real estate market has picked up big time especially now interest rates are coming down (Finally....)

Cheers & We will catch up on the road sometime soon I am sure.

Hey There,
Off to Adelaide via Echuca and The Great ocean Road. Then back to Ballarat, Dandengs, Vic high country, Jindabyne, Canberra and the Blue mountains. Bit of a All Rivers Run and Man From Snowy River theme, crossing the Murray where it starts near Tom Groggin and where it finishes at Wellington S.A. Craigs hut and all that stuff. Will be up the Tip in July then who knows.

Hi guys
We love Cania gorge, try to get there at least once or twice a year, we generally stay in the Big 4 park, which one are you in? If your heading up to Biloela go a bit further to Dululu, there's a great free camp there and even some power if you can get a spot by the fence.
Keep posting the updates, BTW how old are your kids.

Regards Jon

Hi Jon,
The kids are 6 & 8 years - we stayed at Big 4 and where a little disappointed with it, it costs us $45 for one night - there isn't much of a dump point and no hose!!! half the amenities didn't work ect - however it did have the jumping pillow that the kids spent about 5 hrs on (no kidding) then the feeding of the birds at 5pm was awesome. We plan to stay at Dululu or a bit further up not sure as yet see how we go with the drive.

Hi if you have braided steel gas hoses you may find they are the problem they react with the gas and block the regulator very common problem ,answer put on copper hoses only seem to happen with some gas..

Hi Bat30

Yes we do have the braided steel hoses perhaps we will look into replacing them with the copper hoses - thanks for the tip.
