My Engel combi gets a noisy harmonic vibration set off by a bump and might run for 4-5 mins and stop again from another bump then start again. When I pull up and its still going strong, a power off and on stops it, any ideas.
thanks David

My engal gets a noisy hum up every now and then. Kind of like it has a leaf caught in a fan. Been ding that for years now! Still works fine though. Personally I would not worry about it.

No this is loud and gives you the #h!ts, as if the compressor mount is busted, but its not

Check the compressor cooling fan..
Mine was doing something similar to what you described ('fridge was still working fine), and it turned out that said fan had sh@t itself (collapsed bearings)..
repair bloke said that apparently there'd been a bad batch of these fans, as he'd replaced a few...
replaced under warranty (approx 3 yrs ago), and it's been fine since.....

There was an earlier post on this and it seemed the rubber mounts on the compressor were a good place to start. Seemingly an easy fix?
