If you are working the vehicle in very heavy dust the round prefilter is good, I tend to stay
well away from anyones dust. 1 I don't get dusted out and 2 neither does my engine.
All earth moving gear have 2 filters inner and outer paper filters to combat their work enviroment, most of the time we have the luxury of being able to stay
well away from dust and only need an air ram and 1 filter.

Dust/Locusts....Donalson Spinner
Other...Normal Scoop Head
This post has just reminded me to get a Donaldson for my own car. Unless your Trip Leader your going to get a heap of dust. Even if its just you, but there is a fair amount of traffic going the other way you can still cop a huge amount. Also at the moment I have the scoop pointing backwards due to the huge number of locusts down south at the moment!
Cheers
