Hoping someone can help - we seem to have a problem when plugging our TV into the battery source. The battery adaptor goes into a wall plate which also houses the plug for the Winegard aerial, with a button which shows green when the aerial is working. (Sorry if this is a little sketchy but I'm not the technical type).
We can make the TV work when plugged into normal power, but neither the adaptor nor the aerial green light seems to work. Could it also perhaps be the "plate" on the wall?
We are trying to replace the adaptor but can't seem to find the exact one - has anyone any suggestions as to where these can be bought.
Thanks.

We have looked at the catalogue at Camec but they don't seem to have the adaptors.

By "adaptor" do you mean a "cigarette lighter" type plug?
Ours need to be pushed very hard into the socket on the Winguard fitting.
Try taking it to your car and see if the tv does work on twelve volts when plugged into the cigarette lighter in the car.
There are possibly two types of Winguard fitting with the green light. The more modern one has a push button switch beside the green light that turns the amplifier on and off. On when the light is on. Off will usually give no television signal to the tv.
Another sort of Winguard fitting MIGHT use the push button switch to switch between the aerial and an external aerial input (like when plugged in to a caravan
park tv plug).
I am not sure if this type is common here, and you would have to read your instruction manual carefully to see which type you have.
If the green light does not come on when you click the push button, then check the fuses. Or check your 12 volt supply.
good luck

Thanks Ken, your comments have been very useful. I will pass them on to the Minister for Technical Support, i.e. hubby.
I think our fitting is the first one and our manual is somewhat lacking. Hubby did check fuses, and our 12 volt supply seems okay because our lights are working.
Will definitely try the car to see if the TV works.
Thanks again.
