I'm after a very light swivelling hitch. Only needs to swivel side to side, up and down like a Treg is not necessary.
It's to couple a small trailer to a motorbike. Hence it has to swivel to allow the bike to lean through corners. It doesn't have to be very heavily rated as weight is an issue.
Anyone got a clue where they can be bought?
Jim.

Hey Jim
A man of your talents should be able to fabricate your own, go on give it a go. seriously.
I swung some large gates earlier this year and made the hinges myself with a hobby welder and some scrap metal, so if you guys have a full workshop It should be easy.
Cheers Steve.

Steve,
My talents do not extend to welding and metal work my friend.
I'm bloody hopeless with metal and welding.

Would a 'rose joint' have enough travel?

Thanks for the suggestion.

Jim.

Ha ha, I have used rose joints for similar purposes, I just wasn't sure how much articulation they would need for a motor bike, but if you space them top & bottom, they should have ample.

I didn't know you were experienced in patent law.
I do know you are quite cognisant with Civil Aviation and Terrorism legalities.

Whats your problem Jumbo ? You asked about a light swivelling hitch to suit a m/cycle trailer , I gave you a contact of the largest m/cycle trailer manufacturer in Australia and then you want to talk about civil aviation +terrorism, you must be a sick puppy,,, either that or you have a Guilty conscience.
