Hi There
Interested in feedback from Tvan owners. I understand that everyone expects something different from their camper trailer but would appreciate info on what you have found as both good and bad points.
Can anyone help as we are looking at this unit as a possible option?
Thanks in advance.
Colin & Deb

There's a TVan site on Yahoo I understand. We have several clients who own this product and evidently this site is independant of the manufacturer

I have had a fair bit to do with them in one way or another, the only bad point that I can bring to mind is the inability to carry a tinnie.
Other than that they are excellent with exceptional chassis,
suspension & build quality.

Hi Colin & Deb,
We have a TVan and are very happy with it, so will try hard to now be objective.
Storage room and options are very good.
Kitchen set-up with sink, pantry, and drawer is very good and simple.
We have solar panel on roof with the 'standard' battery, which is ok. I would review your electrical requirements and maybe increase the battery size to match the panel capacity and your requirements.
In bad weather it is a real bonus to get into bed under a 'solid' roof.
We now have the shade sale, a smaller awning, and use this all the time. Only set-up the larger awning when staying 3-4 nights or more. Shade sail is versatile, can be moved around to help when wind changes etc. If travelling over winter definately get the draft stopper, it makes life much more comfortable.
Unit tows and tracks as if it's not there, and the people at Track are great to deal with. We've had small issues, but all fixed as we wanted.
Unit is now just 3yrs old and 62,000kms, new wheel bearings at 40,000km because I wanted to, and new brakes at the same time as the next trip was planned to be 18,500kms.
Hope this helps.
Rob.

Howdy Colin and Deb,
Have had our T Van for 12 months now and very happy. One thing to be mindful about is getting out of bed, a tiny bit awkward, would potentially be a problem if you have a bad back, or are elderly. No drama for us though. We took the innerspring deluxe pillowtop mattress option, worth every cent. Agree the draught skirt would also be very handy, it is on our list of things to get. Very comfy set up for two.
Cheers
Krakka
PS. The bed extension is also worthwhile if you are taller than about 5ft 8.

Hi Colin & Deb
I have had a Tvan Muranji now for 3 years and it is fantastic.
Agree for all of the above. I will go anywhere you are game to take your vehicle.
We travel most times with 3 of us. The women in my life like to take plenty of clothes and live comfortable and on my side I have too many gadgets so we travel pretty heavy.
My only complaint would be storage as we find that we carry a lot of gear on the bed and this has to be moved for overnight stops and set up a bed for my 19 year old daughter.
We just have to wait for her to not like travelling and
camping to get some more space, but I don't think that will be for a long time. Maybe she can find a boyfriend for her that has his own Tvan.
Travelling with 2 is comfortable and easy but difficult with the 3rd person. I think most campers are the same and even caravans, the best thing we know as we are not restricted to go anywhere and we have a dry bed to sleep in every night.
Spend the money, you will not be dissappointed.
Regards John & Pill

Hi All
Thank you all for the info. Unusual in this day and age to see such positive feedback about a product. There is a Yahoo site and we are awaiting confirmation on request to join.
Looks like we will have to hire one and check it out.
Once again thank you all.
Col & Deb
