Hi
Have a 78 Troopy, can't seem to find the torque spec's for the
wheels nuts in my manual?
Anyone know what they are?
Thanks Lyndon

G'day Dozer,
"i would be ringing your local and asking them for confirmation"
I did and those figures are what he gave me, I have known the
bloke for many years and would not expect him to give me a bum steer.
However if someone can confirm these are wrong I will surely let
him know...
Cheers
Michael

105 Foot Pounds for alloy is correct. 150 Foot Pounds on steel 5 stud.

Gday Lyndon,
Trust your memory!
My handbook for 78/79series with 14mm studs says 209Nm (154.2 ft-lb) for steel
wheels.
Gregorys manual #520 for 78/79/100 series says 209Mn for steel and 131Nm for alloy.
The 6 stud LandCruisers (smaller 12mm studs) are 113Nm.
Cheers
phil

Hi Phil
That's the one! I thought it was about that. My wrench only goes to 200NM but i think that will be fine.
Thanks
Lyndon

Glad we could get confirmation. I rn 5 stud and have not been running 100 let alone 150 foot pound....thats alot of pressure on a tee wrench...dont think i could actually put that much on the nuts with it...i didnt mean to tread on anyones toes...and im glad you brought the subject up....
