You would wonder why we need to import box trailers from the other side of the world! France even!!
Just about every regional town in Oz would have a trailer manufacturer and a few
places that sell trailers of different brands.

Hey, I'm amused by this. I have a Daxara model one of these with a story attached.
Don't ask me how much I paid for it! I purchased it while living in Saudi (needed to be a crazy Aussie to use a trailer over there, don't think anyone else much used them). Stuck it in the container when we moved back to Oz. Got back and found out that I didn't have a "vehicle import permit" (Yes it could be road registered, so needed one!). So it couldn't be processed with my "personal effects" and I had to have it commercially imported and pay duty, etc., etc. Cost me nearly as much as the trailer, but if I didn't, then they would charge me to "destroy" it (also almost as much). I couldn't bare the thought of driving around a corner one day to see someone towing my little trailer that was "destroyed", so I paid the money and still have it. (Oh, yes there was one option, I could've lied about its age and then it was cheaper)
And now they import them here! :)
It is a nice little trailer, but I am surprised to see that it makes sense to import them here. I will be off to try and see the pricing, just to continue the amusement.

Erde Port kennedy factory is two doors down from me. There trailers seem
well built. Steve the guy that runs the show is a nice bloke. Thats pretty much all I know about them though
