G'day all,
Would like to ask other users of above charger, how often does your fan run?
Mine seemed to run a fair bit when first used, (only a few days old) but now doesnt seem to be running.
Wondering if I'm just missing it, and it only cuts in and out at certain loads, or has it carked it, as in an early component burn in failure?

Cooler ambient temps or better airflow around unit would all affect whether it ran wouldn't it?

gday ron ,
i have a c-tek 25000 & the fan only runs when on the first and 2nd stages of charging but not on the 3rd or 4th stage .
i dont exactly know why , probally something to do the amount of amps/ volts produced during these stages .
cheers brad

Thanks Brad,
still getting used to how it functions n wasnt sure if it was playing up, so wanted to check as going on a 10day trip soon and it will be much needed, so if any issues wanted to get sorted.
Most solid state stuff is generally good, but if a component is going to fail it will usually do so in the early stages of use.
In previous days(read years), most stuff was 'soak' tested, which involved running for a period of 24hrs and if passed that would run for years, but with todays mass producing, I think the soak test is a thing of the past.
I will pay more attention to it in the early stages of next charge to ensure all
well.
Rgds
