Gday,
Im going to get crucified for this but I have before on (very, very lightly) frayed seatbelts, just run a cig lighter along the edges to seal them up.
Id also try another Toyota dealer...not being able to get parts sounds a bit odd. If not someone close to you must be able to make them.

Cheers

Welcome,
Ditto the wreckers, There are heaps of them all around the country.
They will take credit over the phone and post out your bits, saves alot of running around.
BUT there can be a huge price difference from business to business so call a few.
Cheers
Dave

Try the 4x4 wreckers, another option is to measure the seat belt and buy similar units from a car wrecker and swap them out, i.e. the belt part, as usually all they are held in by is a loop at the end that goes into the retractor mechanism. you pull them apart to clean them if they won't retract and aren't frayed!!

Just bought new generic seat belts from Repco for my beetle.
Came with the stalks.
Bolt out, bolt in.
Cost $95.00 each.
Retractable ones might be a little more.

Bit wary of belts from the wreckers, not sure if they have been used in a dingle and stretched. UV affects them too. Had one snap on me doing some moderate braking. It gave where it sits in the sun at the top mount, and it was only 30 years old.

Can't help with the bushes, try a wreckers for those.

AFAIK it is illegal in Qld and NSW to fit 2nd hand seatbelts from a wrecker for obvious reasons.
You're also not supposed to take the mechanism apart and re tension it.
Of course you have to get caught doing it.

Having said all that, isn't your life or the life of a loved one worth $300 to you ?

Illegal to sell 2nd Hand seatbelts in SA too. I agree - $285 well spent.

Yep, beat me to it. Illegal to fit second hand seatbelts. I would be vry surprised if any wrecker would sell them to you anyway.
I have bought new belts from Repco. They were off my Corvette, so i took them in, measured them up and bought similar length/style ones which worked perfectly. I'd say they will be able to get in ones to suit your 80 series without a drama. From memory i paid around $100 each set.
Cheers!

Any genuine Toyota item or part will be expensive.

I remember going for a rubber stopper for under the bonnet, just one and was quoted $80.

But seat belts......what price do you put on your life or the life of your loved ones??

Wipers are usually quietened down with new blades.
Bosch sell whole new arms at prices that are not too unreasonable

Slightly off the topic but heh? I was quoted $300 (and they would have taken it) from Toyota for an aluminium drag arm for the HJ60 wiper assembly (1984) but charged $21 for the same item ordered for a 1989 HJ60. Different part number, different price.
Toyota parts are to help the dealer principal drive his mercedes!!
