Apologies if there has been an article about this in the past however I couldn’t see any in achieve.

Does anyone have any experience with these types of dash pods

Dash Pods
I have a 100 series LC V8 with the roof console already there which unless I refit a new one can’t seem to modify with out a hassle
Has anyone modified the front pocket of the roof console in these to fit barret HF radios with the remote fronts, or know of any one who has/could do?

Does any one have any other ideas on fitting radios that would compliment an outfit?

I don’t what anything that will resemble the “stuff it that’ll do” setup like in my tray back LC
Ask ask ask yeah I know but thanks to every one in advance

I have some Q’s about roof racks to but going from archives that’s a sore point... LOL
Cheers
William

I have one yet to put in the car, but TB I go 4bing with has one in a GQ with his 27meg in it.

He likes it I have overhead console. Consoles will cut it to house what ever radio you tell them to.. Email them adn ask if your HF will fit. They are good blokes there at Blakehurst.

My Dashpod will house turbo guages and oil pressure etc..

If your in doubt about what you can do with it, take a drive to the next Toyota LC Club meeting, theres 100's of Cruisers with pods etc, and most will be more than willing to show off their warez...

Roofracks, Happily sold mine last week... Never again.

No roof console option and was wondering about the pod, but I now past point of no return anyway so sensible butchery is ok on my 15 year old truck........

Let us know how you go with it - that put me off a long time before I installed my CB as I wasnt prepared to cut into the dash to fit anything and I'm sure theres plent out there who feel the same.

Koh,
I have a Barratt 550 with remote keypad panel fitted in my '91 LC
Barrat Communications fitted it
The main HF radio unit was fitted in thre rear cargo area, on the LH side panel just behind the rear seat (I don't use the extra removable seats)
The keypad panel was fitted on the centre console, between the gear stick and dashboard just below the aircon or CD/radio player.
Works fine for me.
I don't like mike cables hanging down from overhead consoles.

I have a troopy not an LC but have a dash pod from ConsoleMate. I ordered the unit over the internet and with pre-cut-outs for the radio and speaker. Fitting was a breeze and the pod was sculpted to match the ups and downs of the 75 series dash. Worth a look I reckon.Chris
<- 1996 Troopy, the best!
