Trying to find a nice quiet place to
camp where we can swim and sit back and relax, go for walks if we want, but don’t want to be woken in the middle of the night by somebody with a skin full on a motorbike…….. Things are crook in
Tallarook. Have a good 4wd and very suitable off-road camper. All suggestions and opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Tis the season to be Jolly… but not stupid!

Twelve mile along the Buckland Valley rd is a nice spot. You need a 4wd to cross the river and the river has nice pools, which going by the radar will be deeper after this weekend.
Also
the junction of Cllear Ck Tk and the Buckland river is nice......small spot but beautiful
swimming hole. Cooled of there after a long trail ride back on cup weekend.
Get a copy of Rooftops
Bright -
Mansfield adventure map, it has lots of listings
Just watch for snakes.

Thanks Rob,
I Would image the Buckland would be fine to cross with a untested camper as far as depth goes?
Every stayed around the Noojee area?

Make sure you check the depth and flow before crossing. It comes up very quick with rain such as will happen this weekend. There are heaps of
camping spots in there.
