Hi! We live in southern Gold Coast and just wondering if anyone knows where we might be able to go camping after Xmas without having booked yet?

Where in particular??
There could be a heap of places 1000km away but we will need to know how far you wish to travel.

Cheers Kev

We live on the Southern End of the Gold Coast to, when we were
desperate, we would go down to Fingal for an over nighter, we
would camp on the sandy stretch up towards the Tweed River
Break Wall, and fish all night, you need a 4x4 to get there, also
try up at Wivenhoe Dam, its just over 1 hour away.

Cheers

Dazza, you're brave to camp around Fingal ! Unless the police have cleaned it up, it used to be very full of undesireables running around the bushes.

Geez thanks fellas, it is desirable to stay away from the undesirables,
they would take one look at me and run the other way lol.

Maroon Dam out the back of Rathdowney is another nice spot an hour or so away, as is Queen Mary Falls.

Cheers
