Caravan Dishwasher

My FIL has a Dometic ESF245 Dishwasher in his caravan that is having ongoing problems.
It does not appear to dry the contents at all. It has had one warranty call to repair it after one use. The second time it was used the same thing happened.
The service tech told him that it is a discontinued model and parts are very difficult to obtain.
He purchased the Dishwasher new 16 months ago to have installed in his new van. Dometic have told him that it will not be fixed under warranty.
Has anyone had similiar experiences or know of any issues with this product?

16months aint very long......i'd be going to consumer affairs
are parts available? if bought new 16months from whoever and assuming you knew it wasnt very old stock then spare parts should be made available...else go back to who you bought it from and complain to them citing you may need to go consumer affairs
