evening all
just a warning to all who may have a late model navarra with fancy
wheels to check the wheel brace
daughter rang on sunday from just down the road had a flat tyre could i please come and help(unusual as she is normally capable of changing a wheel as i made sure all 3 kids could do it as part of thier driving instruction)
anyway jack (unused before)was extremely tight wound up to lock in had to get a solid rod to loosen to get it out from behind
seat then go to loosen wheel nuts with nissan wheelbrace DOESNT FIT so try my cross wheel brace DOESNT FIT ended up using a socket and rachet with short extension the nuts are either bigger or the holes are smaller (my choice)
so if you own 1 of these check the fitting
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL ON EO

Thats unusual that different size wheel nuts are used on alloy
wheels compared to std
wheels... usually they may have a different shank length or
seat shape- flat or tapered, but nut is usually the same size...
Great info mate as i'm sure most if not all would get caught by this trap, even the new car dealer too!

goodday tippa
the nut is recessed and i believe the hole is not a big enough diameter to allow a normal wheel brace in and after looking at the nissan brace you could not turn it down as it was pretty thin already
dont believe the dealer would know and who ever suplied the tyres probably doesnt realise either

Sounds like aftermarket
wheels??
I found the same with my daughter's pulsar (19mm on the ROH mags instead of 21mm on the factory ones), and the same with the
Kimberley mags (ROH) on the Prados.
