Gday Craig, we are getting our one done tomorrow and its between $800-$1,000, but thats for an 80,000 km serv. I think from memory the 60,000 is only 3-4 hundred. we get ours done at bendigo off road rather than the nissan place you might pay a fraction more but they work on 4wd's all day every day. I dont know what you have been told but from all the things ive read and heard from people in the no, you should make sure you do you oil every 5000 kms esepecially if you do lots of short trips round town etc. hope this helps.More drive'n less talk'n

My 60,000 k service cost me $70, but I do my own oil changes and that cost $80 (oil and filter). My Nissan dealer doesn't mind me doing them as I have argued that the oil they use is different to what I use and I am not in favour of changing oils in my vehicles.
The 60k service is only very basic, I think all they do is a check. Your service manual will show what is supposed to be do. In case you missed that word "supposed", I'm sure they miss a few things.
The 70k service is also around the same cost, but the big one is the 80k service.

I'd like to point out that the $70 does not include the oil change. If I didn't do it myself they would be charging nearly $200. Just the oil (2 X 5 bottles) and filter (nissan brand) to me is $80 and they probably want an extra $50 in labour costs.
I'm glad I don't live down your way, I couldn't afford to scratch myself.

60,000 cost about 200 bucks (not at Nissan)

There are NO big items on the 3 litre engine as routine scheduled servicing. There are no timing belts and the injectors are a throw away item. The only thing to do on the motor is change the oil and filters.

The only reason the 40,000 service is dear is they change lubes and filters and check wheel bearings but it can all be done lots cheaper elsewhere.

According to Mobil, the oil can easily go to 15,000ks if you change the filter at 7,500 (this is what my manual actually specified) . My experience is that you need to check oil level frequently and properly.

I mostly changed my oil at 5 to 10000 but on one long trip went to 13,000 but it did need topping up.

I had problems with blocked fuel filters and so I used to carry a spare.

Dont change your fuel filter or air filter to aftermarket. Fuel pump failure or mass air meter failures have occured due to this.

Hope this is of some help. They are a great wagon.

Thanks sean , the dealer ( female receptionist ) told me approx $550 I have thoughts maybe I was quoted for a Petrol motor service.
Is there any issues with warranty using non Nissan log book service ?

Craig.
