Hi everyone
Being a hopelessly disorganised father of three and small business owner, I have left the organisation of the holiday to the last minute, and now of course find myself in a situation where I can't book in anywhere (
well the popular spots anyway).
So I'm putting the call out - can anyone recommend a good place to take the family for a Xmas holiday that would still be avail? Happy to travel anywhere in vic or sthn NSW. I have a
young family (all under 6) and a caravan.
Happy for caravan
park suggestions or
camping (with van) suggestions.
Thanks heaps! Have a good Christmas!
Steve

Keep it disorganised .........
Pack food and clothes for the time period / circle a few spots on the map and start driving.
With the van you have amenities ... just need a spot to
park it.
Base the trip on a theme ....
Fishing /
caves / gold panning / aircraft history / bushrangers / etc

Picnic Point near Mathoura NSW.
The
park is about 10 kilometres out of town on the
Murray River.
Beautiful spot.
There are a couple of Van Parks out there.
This is the tourism site

Try one of the
camping grounds in the Kosciusko National
Park - my favourite is
Thredbo Diggings, but look at the choices you have on this link. They show the ones where you can get a caravan.
You'll find one camp site here
The spontaneous ones are the best - have a great time!

Mallacoota is a great place at this time of year. The parks get pretty busy, but there is a few of them that you could try. The town folk are all very polite and happy to have tourists in there little town.
