Hey everyone, I just got my new ToyHauler and it came with a Dometic B3200 Airconditioner, I am chasing a generator for it and was lucky enough to try a EU20I of a friend, and it seemed to be fine.
Is there anyone here with a B3200 if so what generator do you use, the manual recommends 3.5kva.
Thanks Shane

You tried the eu20i on cooling or heating? The heater element is 1600w, the honda will handle that easily, but the cooling side of the unit 3.2kw (3200w). I am very surprised that the honda did not trip out.

Thanks for the responce, I started the EU20i with nothing on, then turned my 186l dometic fridge on AC power then turned the B3200 on full steam, the EU20i on smart throttle brought the revs up then settled down, i also had the 240v battery charger on and ran it about 1 hour. cooled the van down very quick, although it was 8pm so the ambident temp was low.

I just had another look at the specifications. Your A/C is rated at 3.2 kw cooling capacity. The actual wattage required for the pump and fan is 1.7kw. The eu20i should handle that easily although a soft start kit is required in some cases, not yours obviously.

Honda will die when 40C
suggest you look to the Yamaha EF2400
Yamaha is quieter as revs about 50% and uses less fuel
Yamaha is 10kg heavier but what good is a Honda if it wont work over 40C. Honda tell you that in the hand book
