Hi
I was wondering if anyone might know where i might obtain a wiring diagram/s for a HDJ79R with a 1HDFTE in it. I'm happy to buy them if someone can tell me where? The wiring diagrams in the aftermarket manuals are not corrent for this model landcruiser.
The reason i am chasing them is i keep blowing my wiper fuse which seems to also supply the speedo and reversing lights???? When this fuse is blown the engine is cutting out when you coast to and
intersection, is starts and idles perfectly straight way???

You can get them from Toyota as a multi part workshop manual. Each bit electrical etc is sold seperately so it is not a huge outlay. There are quite a few variations from year to year and by region. The workshop manuals have them all. They are not that expensive. I was highly surprised at the cost. Not like the ones for a Jack that were only sold as a full set for over $1,000.

thanks for the reply.
According to Toyota they don't have printed manuals i have heard there is a CD manual but they won't admit to that either. If you have one can you give me the part numbers?
Thanks

ok the manual is for a 100....if i am hearing you right, you want to know why a blown fuse for taillights is stalling the motor.... i know that the electronic throttle control system has a fail safe should the motor loose road speed and/or tacho reference, the VSV closes the throttle butterfly. With the accelerator at idle position, it will restart.

Hi
Thanks for the reply that sounds like what it might be. I was interested in what else might be connected to the wiper fuse ( so far: Wipers, Washers, Speedo, Reversing Lights ) as i still am not 100% on why it blew in the first place.
Also can i ask were did you buy your manuals from as i'm having no joy with Toyota.
Thanks
Phil
