Hi all
Been looking for a gennie to run aircon etc, such as Honda eu20 or Yamaha equivalent, when I stumbled across a Hyundai HY3000SI retailng for $1995.
This machine has a max rating of 3000w and continuous output of 2700w which is ample for my needs at the same price (or less) as the Honda eu20
Has anyone had any experience, or heard any reports of the Hyundai.
Thaks in advance.
Nige.

I brought one at the
Brisbane Caravan show this year. Used it for our trip to the
Kimberley this year worked great in high ambient temps just sat it on a few rocks so the air could get around it better. Ran the Air con an van no worries.

Thanks for the response. These are obviously new on the market as there seems to be very little info or knowledge of them re reliabilty, longevity, parts availability etc. Good to hear of your good experience so I guess I'll go with the gut feeling and give it a go! Hope you enjoyed the Kimberleys. We spent 6 mths in
Kununurra last year and loved it. Had summer in Tas and are presently in
Cairns until march or april next year then perhaps NT for "the dry".
Cheers
Keep flyin' straight !!!

Having owned two of their cars, which have been 100% reliable, I'd say give it a go.
Hyundai has a grand vision to become one of the top 5 car makers wordwide in the near future. They also build agricultural equipment, trucks, electronic stuff etc. I doubt they will risk their reputation by selling dodgy generators.
Jim.
