Have a 1992 Eagle with 13" wheels so finding tyres is a nightmare. The hubs are common 114.3PCD so I think a pair of 14 or 15" wheels should fit OK with lower profile tyres - any advice????

Just fit 14" holden rims (I think that is what your hubs fit) with 8 ply light truck radials (as fitted to 2wd utes and vans), you'll probably never have to replace them unless you get a flat and stuff a tyre.
Plus you can get them anywhere if required.

Peter,
The ford rims are 5x 114.3
Holdens were 5x110 (early) or 5x120 (Commodore)

thanks Phil, to tell the truth I've never measured any of them just tried rims until they fit!.
Did you know that the early Holden rims (pre HQ) can be replaced with Volvo rims if you want a much stronger rim, they are much thicker in both the centre and the rim piece.

I'm a bit surprised about the 13" tyres - can usually get light truck tyres in 165R13 and above. eg Bridgestone R623

But if changing wheels, you may want to go for mags - under $100 at Bob Janes these days. And any tyre dealer will have a wheel catalogue that lists common fiments for your PCD, if you want to find steel wheels.

I've got a '94 eagle with its standard rims. Fitted 'Sava' 13" Light truck tyres no problem at all. Tows great, easily replaced if I stuff one up.

Hi Have a 93 eagle and I replaced the 13'' original tyres with some black steel rims from Beaurpaires, about $30.00 each and Olympic 8 ply 1.85 x 14 lite truck tyres , the van seems to ride better and easier as well, they are wearing well
they rolling diameter of the 185 x 14 LT"s are the same as the 6.40 x 13 C64 Olympic s which were on it . they were near new , so I have kept the original 13" spare ,
Just my ( and mates who had them ) humble opinion stay away from the Banglop's LT's they both had problems and now on Olympic's.
Cheers Des.
