Mate if you can look at the sun, then I reckon anything around it would look dard.
Unless it's Reindeer &*^% in the atmosphere??

Bill,
We're off to Noojee, Boxing Day, not
Toorongo Falls, but Poplars Reserve in the
Loch Valley.
Gem of a spot.
Love to catch up with you and Pauline. Give me a call on 0411 874406 if you're interested.
Cheers,
Jim.

Having been brought up on the land the old timers always said a ring around the moon or the sun meant a big rain or a drought or maybe none the above!!

Ring around the sun is Ice crystals. BOM weather site should have some info on that.
Ring around the moon generally means plenty of wind the next day..:-) ( yeah...old wives tale...lol_)

Plenty of wind next day is usually caused by baked beans on toast,,,,

Royce,
Was the same here at Smithton on the NWCoast of Tassie at around midday. A perfectly formed
rainbow around the sun that lasted for quite awhile. Very impressive.Might be the old fella up in the sky trying to brighten our life up a bit with all the crap thats going on around the world at the moment.
