I've decided on getting an ARB deluxe bar and thought i might colour code it to the car. The cruiser is white

I don't mind the Std black but have others colour coded their bar work to a white car? What colour did you use?

I don't want to paint the bar white. My rear bumper is that silvery grey colour which I think is referred to as the 'trim colour' on the compliance plate

Anyway which way do I go....trim colour grey/silver or leave it black or any other ideas???

cheers

Andrew

If I don't tell the Mrs I have bought a new bar, she may not notice.
If I paint it red, she will notice.
If she notices I will be killed.
Therefore, red is not an option.

but with colour coding you would maybe limit any possible resale on the bar if you wanted to sell it later.

just a thought

I just noticed...your car isn't white though...was looking for people who have a white car and done the colour matching.

Having said that, I recon your colour would suit many cars...do you know what it is called or code from the compliance plate???

cheers

Good point, but in my case the vehicle wll not be pulled apart, too much done,It would be sold as is...

Andrew

In my opinion black or white would look great, although i'd lean towards white myself....Goodluck with your choice mate

I reckon white cars don't look good with white bullbars. Other colours are OK but white colourcoded gives me the eebee-jeebees... Black is a favourite!

For example,

Good

Bad

Stupid

I have a white LC100 (looks almost exactly like yours) with the ARB bullbar colour coded the same as the rear bumper (champagne silver?). IMHO it looks balanced and complements the rear bumper.

I have seen white and again IMHO I dont go much for it. Looks a bit 80's.

Andrew,
Personally I also dislike a white bar. Shows up the bugs and dirt & grime. I decided on my LC 200 to go silver.

Nothing to do with what colour to paint your bull bar but the trim code shown on plate is the Interior trim

I'll check that out, thanks Donk.

Think my safest way is to take the car in first and just tell them to match front to back...

Hey Muddie, your bar and colour is exactly what I'm ordering.

I'm leaving out the fog lights as well.

Looks good, thanks for the pic.

I have a good friend with the fog lights and even he admits they are not worth a crumpet, they may look good but that's it, $400 can be better spent.
