Spy shots of what appears to be the next Nissan Patrol have just popped up from the Middle East. The Patrol is a Toyota Land Cruiser competitor that has until now only been sold in markets outside of North America. It is believed, however, that Nissan may consider bringing this 2010 version of the Patrol to the States to fill some of the holes left by the cancellation of the Armada and Infiniti QX56. Adopting design cues like a cantilevered roof from the 2007 Nissan Terranaut Concept, the 2010 Patrol also looks a bit like a passenger version of the new NV2500 light commercial vehicle we showed you last week.

It is expected that the new Patrol will remain body-on-frame, and that it will pick up a 4.8L V8 for the engine bay. Other engine options will likely include a 4.0L V6 and 3.0L V6 diesel (co-developed with Renault) that is rumored to produce 265 hp and 405 ft-lbs of torque. Thanks for the tip, Eb!Site Link

Some one posted a few pic's on the site the other day. Pretty hard to tell it from the L/C 200 (except for price I'll bet!)

Cheers Mick

The pics would have pulled because it is not allowed to publish pictures of gay porn on a site like this .............. and that new Patrol is: GAY!!!!!!

Ohhhh you are such a b1tch Mr Roachie...(said with appropriate lithp). I'm driving my GU loud and Proud and with a totally unblemished record of staunch heterosexuality. They're all looking very limp these days, particularly the 200.

Yeh, me too Mick.... (with the emphasis on the "loud" part!!!! hahaha...... the 6.5 Chev V8 ain't known for it's stealth)..... hahaha.

However, despite being an unashamed Patrol devotee, I'd have to have had a frontal labotomy before I'd consider buying one of those new fancy-nancy-boy "Gaytrols"....... ;-)

I am the first to admit that the 200 doesn't have the macho looks of a GU, but the next Nissan, well.... judge for yourself!!!

Now if it came with a stonking twin turbo V8 diesel I could live with the looks, but a V6 3.0L diesel, well... I reckon Toyota isn't going to go out of business just yet ;)

Cheers

Looks like they have crossed a Nissan Pathfinder, with a Toyota Prado..... Yuk !

And that Renault deal, thought they would have learnt with the 3.0 TD 4 cylinder Patrol...a 3.0 TD WTF are they trying to prove.

Nothing beats cubic inches, a well developed fuelling system, and a reliable motor.
Go the 4.2 ..!

Cheers

Bucky!! It is interesting that Nissan have been making diesel engines for the full range of trucks for ever and now with technology at their feet, they come up with unreiability worse than could be thought possible. Even China and Korea havn't made crap like the 3,0L Nissan engine..

Nissan had a rep for building the best diesel engines out of Japan, but the influence of Renault has had a negitive effect on their rep.
Just traded our 240hp UD at work , now that truck had some grunt and was totaly reliable to 240000ks, I wonder if it could be shoehorned into a Patrol. I believe it was about 8litres in capacity.
6th was a very tall overdrive (2100 rpm at 100) yet it took a very steep hill to require dropping back to 5th and this was in a vehicle weighing over 5 ton empty
