Gday guys
Just bought a tracklander roof rack and have fitted my spare to the rack using a j bolt. Couple of questions
1. Is one J bolt sufficient to hold down the spare because it feels a little loose? If I tighten it up too much does it damage the rack.
2. Where is the best place to lock the spare down to (front - back etc)?
Also the J bolt i used is actually for a rhino rack but it still seems to do the job. Can anyone see this as being a problem?
Any feedback would be great
Merry Christmas

Ive been through some pretty rough terrain with a single hook bolt holding the spare on.
If its loose it will not stay in position(neither will anything else for that matter)
They have to be tight
I would store it up front ,in a corner of the rack.
That way it cant move forward in an emergency stop.
Use some leather between the hard surfaces to stop the bolt from tearing the paint off.
If you re still concerned ,use a cheap rachet strap or use 2 bolts.
Personally ,I think one will do it.
