Refreshing beverages to put in the fridge and a couple of valium (helps you feel better about the money you've just spent)! Time to get outside for a stroll I think :-).

Cheers Mick

yes
your last few entries on the checklist should be as follows
Remove the DC fridge
Fit a 3 - way fridge to your vehicle ( which can be powered by gas and you may never need to use the generator)
This is what we did after a 3 month trip north during the winter.
It has solved all our power problems!

Heather - I assume Bruce was being funny, taking off the techos who love to make it complex.

Our three way lasted 13 years and travelled hundreds of thousands of kms, and all I did was make sure the power was turned off to it when the car was stopped so it did not flatten the battery.

About five years ago, we did get a compressor type fridge, but by then had put an auxiliary battery in the car. We now caravan with a three way in the van and the compressor type does freezer duty in the back of the car.

Never all that other hardware, but a tonne of fonne!

Mike, you won't need to get used to warm beverages

You have a decent fridge & 12v power system !!
